The main spindle is equipped with an A2-11 spindle nose and a Ø110 mm spindle bore, with a maximum bar capacity of Ø86 mm. It supports a Ø380 mm three-jaw chuck and operates within a spindle speed range of 50 to 2000 rpm. The full power range is available from 375 to 1500 rpm. The spindle motor is rated at 15 kW for continuous operation and 18.5 kW for a 15-minute rating. According to the power diagram, maximum acceleration power reaches approximately 20.4 kW, with peak power around 18.5 kW and continuous power of approximately 15 kW.
The MONO 400 XL is fitted with an 8-station turret that accommodates 25 × 25 mm tools and boring bars up to Ø40 mm. The tailstock is equipped with an MT5 quill taper, a Ø100 mm quill diameter, and a quill stroke of 120 mm. The machine provides a positioning accuracy of 0.008 mm and repeatability of 0.007 mm, supporting stable and precise machining performance.
In terms of overall size and installation, the MONO 400 XL weighs approximately 5900 kg and has dimensions of about 3540 × 2000 × 2150 mm. It can be equipped with either a Fanuc Oi-TF Plus CNC control system or a Siemens 828D control system.
